For PLA-coated materials, flexographic printing is generally more suitable. PLA (polylactic acid) is a biodegradable, bio-based material often used in eco-friendly packaging. Flexographic printing utilizes flexible plates and fast-drying water-based inks, which better adapt to the coated surface of PLA, preventing issues like poor ink adhesion or coating damage. In contrast, offset printing employs higher-viscosity inks that may cause coating peeling or uneven printing, making it less compatible.
